CAREER DAY CHECKLIST
1) Resumes are preferred but not mandatory.
2) Dress to present yourself in a positive
manner.
3) Study the Career Day Guide for employer
information and location. Research the web sites of employers that interest
you.
4) Rank those employers you wish to meet.
5) Make a preliminary tour of room to collect
information from employers whose company/organization and/or job opening
interests you. (Note which employers are busy.)
6) Skim collected information BRIEFLY.
7) Introduce yourself to an employer.
Ask questions. Give resume if desired.
8) Get interviewer’s name, title, address
and phone number (business card).
9) Thank employer for spending time with you.
10) Follow up!! Send thank you letters to
all employers with whom you may seek further contact.
